A friend of mine went to the Bud Heinous auction in Red Deer last weekend. He said he got a bag of once fired .40S&W brass for me if I wanted it, as he had bid on two bags and got them both. There were four more bags he didn't bid on. I said sure and asked how much it was. It was $20, and he said that he needed my help to carry it.
Help carrying it? Turns out it was a 25kg canola seed bag stuffed to the top! The damn thing weighs at least 120lb! I almost blew my mud valve lifting it out of the truck.
So far I have sorted through about 1/3 of it. I estimate there are around 12000 rounds of .40, and so far I have also picked out about 300 rounds of 9mm too, all stuck in the .40 brass of course.
Guess I'm ok for .40 brass for a bit!
