brass shavings in the M14?

Hey guys, I'm finding brass shavings in my action and some inside the trigger block.

This normal? I think its being caused by the bullet being scraped out of the mag.

Just wanted to know if this was normal

I get them in my M305, my AR-15 and my M1 Garand. I'm pretty sure it's normal

yeah i thought it was normal too, but when i found it in the trigger mechanism I wondered

That stuff flies all over the place...

Even more reason for eye protection.

Yep, normal occurrence. It happened in my all USGI TRW M14 as well as the M305. Just clean it out occasionally. The extraction cycle can be a little rough on brass
