I'm wanting to help out an acquaintance with some casings. Virgin 455 Hornady Webly MK II brass to be specific.
What is the market price on such a thing these days?

It's not listed on Hornady's website, so who knows? Budget Shooter Supply has Starline @ $73.00/100 if that's any help.

Auction on fired brass been.50 to a buck each. There is not much out there so it will go for all over the ice pricing.

It's out there if you look.

If you're going to pay that much for it, just buy loaded Fiocchi ammo for the same price and save the cases.

I just picked up a hundred count bag this spring in Chilliwack off Rusty Wood's table. There were a lot there.

I believe it's Starline.

I forgot to mention Rusty Wood, who is just up the road from me. Starline brass is pretty readily available. I was under the impression that the OP was asking about selling some Hornady that his friend already had. No point pricing it above the going rate for Starline, though.

The Hornady 455 MKII brass was made by Starline. Now Starline sells the same brass with their own Starline head stamp.

Roughly speaking, STARLINE prices for the 455 brass is double the price of Starline 45 Colt brass. Determine what a fair price for 45 Colt brass is locally and just double it to get 455 MKII price locally. Then you can adjust down for your buddy as you see fit.
