Which ammunition manufacturers should be avoided if one wants to buy ammunition and save the brass for future re-loading.Also when talking about manufactured ammo which primer is to be avoided if re-loading is to be an option.I hope these questions are worded such that I won't be slagged as I can't even roll a cigarette let alone a bullet..

FOr common, off the shelf brass for rifle cartridges, I always pick WInchester and avoid Federal. Remingotn is okay, but not my preffered brass.

Obvioulsy, there is better brass out there, but if you are just buying readily available in Cananda stuff, I'd pick Winchester.

For auto pistols I don't think it makes a big difference, as alot of guys seem to mix thier brass up without concern.:)

i dissagree.for some reason my guns like federal brass-even cheap 223s
i get better results with there brass that any other.too bad i cant buy it in bulk :(

only factory ammo in our stores that might not have reloadable primers would be Sellier&Bellot (maybe not all of it).everything else is good to go.

Federal brass is prety soft, and after a few loadings, you can often squish a primr in wiht your thumb:D

Federal "Gold Medal" is prety good bras, though

Yeah folks, don't have a re-loader yet(next fall)but would like the brass I accumulate to be good candidates for re-use.
