Brazilian 7x57

1908 or 1935 model? Does the bayo match? Condition? Matching numbers? Bore? Sling? Sighting target from the factory? muzzle protector?

1935?

Assume 1935? Un-issued with matching bayonet, muzzle protector with out sling and factory target has been sitting at local shop for $700 for quite some time. Stock looks to have been Tru-oiled which hurts collectability.
Pics and more details will help.

7 X 57 Brazilian Mausers

The 1935 Brazian Mausers in near new condition seem to be more common than the 1908's. One fellow had two new 1908's for sale a while back don't know if they went for cash or were traded.

Brazilian 1908 Mauser 7x57mm

I picked up a minty 1908 Brazilian Mauser 7x57mm in the past year locally for $400 [+ tax]. Was on a dealer's rack with a mismatched bayo on it. There was a couple of others there as well but this one, by far, was the best condition-wise. At the same time a another CGN'er was there, a mil-surp officionado, who pointed out he thought another of them had a bayo on it that was close in numbers..... Damned if it wasn't the matching bayo! So, got the rifle, matching bayo, original sling, brass muzzle cover all for $400 + tax. Have been since told I scored well on that one.

Postscript.... Was my luck that longbranch* was there at the same time & pointed me to the matching bayo.....
