Just got my NR conversion kit on the Bren 2. Dry fired it a couple times and noticed this little indent starting on this piece beside the firing pin(not sure what its called). Is this normal?

Also wondering what the common oiling points are for a Bren 2.

Thanks

You're fine. I have 5k rounds though NR bren and it looks the same.

It is firing pin bock. Safety feature to prevent accidental primer hit by firing pin when gun is dropped. Some even remove it. Wear is "fine" according to CZ. "Stupid" according to common sense engineering and other reputable firearm designs. Bottom line it is not dangerous to you until the point it wears down completely and stops working as safety feature. Even then you can remove it and have your gun functioning.

it's normal wear, it won't get worse after 200 rnds in my experience. I also had some wear on the rails that didn't affect function, the guns are tanks

BTW, for reference - this is on full auto Bren 2 in Ukraine after 7000 rounds, operator estimated 10% of full-auto mode. I must say despite I don't like how it's done - it's nothing for 7k rounds.
