for 8k it better run and have a bren gun with it! Looks like a big resto project. Wonder the reception i would get if i showed up in moose camp driving that thing?

Now that is cool, I would love to take it for a spin on the road in traffic :D.

I wonder what needs to be restored on it to make it work again ?

Likely too far gone. You have to count the track links to make sure they aren't under a certain number. If under this number, the track is too stretched and needs to be replaced. Then you have to replace the drive sprocket since they wear together.

I know where there is one as well, not worth the trouble to restore.

It did look quite.... worn.. :D

Just thought some of you guys who are big in to Commonwealth gear might want it for parts, or for target practice.... :p

I figured he was asking way too much, but maybe you could haggle for that gord... er Bren Gun Carrier. ;)

Now if he had a Panzer IV sitting in his backyard... I would have to go take a look! :)
 
My Uncle used to use one to plow snow on his farm. Now it's in about the same shape as the above. Too bad, would've been fun to drive.
 
My carrier was in worse condition when I acquired it. The carrier is restorable and alot can be done with some steel plate and paint if it is already running, and probably worth about $6k. If you want to own a vintage armoured, tracked, transportable military vehicle, this is it.
 
I remember there was one in North Delta. I had a paper route and the first day on it I walked past this thing nestled amongst tall grass, weeds, black berry bushes...I think its parked in front of the New Westminister armory now.

Nope. That is actually why I am looking for another one...the Regiment wants one to park out front. How long ago was this?

I still think it is priced a little high for a non working example... then again, I do not own any Armour... :redface:
