Odd, My Inglis Mk1m is black. And it works great!
But it would work so much better if it was dark grey like mine now.
I just got it tonight and I have NEVER
EVER SEEN PARKERISING DONE THIS GOOD BEFORE. Its flawless, no imperfections or blemishes, it does not bleed, the blasting was done in such a way that you can barely tell it had been done, the colours are deep and rich. Honestly it is by far the best parking I have ever seen. I,m blown away. I am planning on sending him everything I own that needs work.
I have had things parked before and with various results by various people who claim to know what they are doing but this turned out like nothing I have seen before. The gun now looks mint.
I found this gunsmith one night surfing the net and the saw pics of his work on one of the parkerising and gunsmithing forums and contacted him for some advice.
His name is NICK KAIKKONEN and is the owner of
Vulcan Gun Refinishing and can be reached
supair@sympatico.ca or contacted at 519-723-4009 or Paged at 519-561-4349
He does a light grey park, dark grey park and a deep green like you see on USGI items. Its something he takes very seriously and has spent years and tonnes of dough perfecting the work. He has a full shop just set up for parking, machining gunsmithing. It was awesome. Never seen anything like it.
His prices are great and on top he is a real gentleman. If you not happy he's not happy
Normally I dont endorse anyone but just the amount of time and work he put into this gun for me really impressed me.
I dont know how many times I have taken my stuff to people who claim to do a good park only to have it run off or look like #### when I get it.
If you need something parked and parked properly you will not be dissapointed.
Give me a few days and I'll take some very detailed pics for you all.
All I can say is wow!!
He is in Windsor Ontario
