Bren2 stocks - is anyone selling them separately from rifles?

I'm looking for a stock for the Bren I bought from IRG - it hasn't arrived yet, but I understand they only come with an AR buttstock adapter, not a stock. Does anyone know if there a source yet for Bren2 stocks? I'm particularly interested in this one:

...although either of the Czech military ones would also be fine :)

Nothing in there is quite what I'm looking for, but the G36 setup is actually interesting...

Here's another look at the G36 Buttstock conversion for those interested in the ultimate lightweight setup. The conversion kit comes complete with a replacement Cartridge Case Deflictor that hooks to the G36 Buttstock when folded. It is amazing just how light the 14" Service Rifle actually is in the hands!

Huh, I may go that route. Did you get yours from CTCS, or somewhere else? How's the cheekweld with AR-height optics?

I got it from CTCS for $399. It is a rock-solid set-up, far moreso than the stock CZ Buttstock which has considerable slop due to the way that te Adapter Block fits within the Upper Receiver. With the stock Buttstock it just slides into the Upper, whereas with the G36 Busttstock the Adapter Block slides into the Upper and is then screwed into place. A much better solution than the issued Buttstock. The G36 Buttstock integrates perfectly with the Bren 2, being the exact same height as the Rifle's Upper and Lower Receivers together. It looks as though it were made specifically for the Bren 2.

The LOP and Cheekweld are fine for me, but obviously YMMV depending on your size and arm reach. The Stock could use a Riser, but it is possible to brace your Jaw against the Upper Strut of the Buttstock. FWIW for reference, I "was" 6'2" before the Taliban took my legs.

I'm 6'1" (shattered pelvis and a bunch of other injuries back in the day, but I kept my legs, thank god), so it sounds like it'll work for me - you talked me into it. It's too bad it doesn't use a a G36C stock with the threaded cheekrest holes, but oh well, should be fine. Ordered one :)

My finished rifle will hopefully look something like this...

It does use a C stock, just without the holes.

Be nice if they just sold the adaptor, I have a C with holes and K stock without that I could use

It willl be interesting to hear how your finished rifle with the 16" Medium Profile Barrel shoots groups. I have noticed that the Pencil Barrel on the military configuaration rifles tends to open up after the first 5-round group or two. It goes from 2 MOA with a cold bore to 3 or 4 MOA once the Barrel heats up. With any luck, your 16" "heavier" profiile Barrel should group more consistently for a longer period of time before the groups open up.

As soon as it arrives, I'm planning to find someone to do a NR swap. If all goes well, I might not even have a chance to try it with the factory barrel, which is a shame, as I like the 16" setup. With this current government, though, the clock is always ticking...

Ha, I could go that route, I suppose, but having the stock with the proper threaded holes would be better! I try to restrain my inner bubba as much as I can...

If you can Machine out a hex to hold a nut that would be the best or you could drill and try a riv nut to emulate the original

Fellas,

I took a "C" Stock with Cheek-Riser and tried it on my Bren 2 with somewhat disappointing results. The height of an HK Cheek-Riser is too high for a rifle equipped with standard AR-height cantilever mounts such as the Kinetic Development Group SideLok, or the American Defense Recon Mount. You can remove the Riser's Lower Block to get the top of the Riser approximately 1 Cm (or 3/8") lower, which works with standard Cantilever Mounts, or just save your money and stick with a plain "C" Stock running no Riser. those ar epretty much the HK stock options...
