Starting on the 14th and going throught the 17th, EXA 2007 The World Sporting and Security/Outdoor Show is being held in Brescia. Since the 1500s, Bescia was making firearms for the Republic of Venice. 90% of all sporting firearms are made in Gardonne Val Trompia. 143 gunmakers are members of the local Chamber of Commerce! Lets not forget all the mom and pop shops, and all the engravers! During the first 10 months of 2006, 599,423 firearms went through the Proof House of Gardonne Val Trompia! 337,331 were long guns and 209,786 were pistols of various types.
The Italian munition manuacturing is devided up as follows:
70% is for long guns with 35 to 40% going to NA, 40% to Europe and 5% to Latin America (South and Central)
20% is for pistol ammunition.
