Briley bushings, are they worth it?

Check out EGW, that's where I get my bushings from. You measure your barrel and slide opening, and they will custom cut it to fit when they make it. Great idea and they make really good quality parts.

I've used a couple of Briley bushings, they come in two forms, drop-in and gunsmith-fit. They sell a mandrel to make the fitting simple if you have access to a lathe. The titanium ring does wear over time, especially if the barrel is not relieved back of the engagement surface. Mine are still giving match grade accuracy, but may not be any tighter than a fitted hard toolsteel bushing. Advantage is that the fitting process is much faster and requires fewer tools.
