Hi Gun Nutz

Has anyone ever brought a compound bow into the states before? From what I understand, you do not have to fill out any forms correct? Just let them know you have it in the car?

Thanks

Nick

It's the same as taking a rifle,or any other valuables.Stop at Canadian Customs first. There is a form you fill out.Brand name, serial #,etc.Show the form at U.S.Customs.I do this everytime I go to cousins in N.H..Never had a problem.Keep original form for reentry to Canada so the don't try to make you pay duty on your gear.

There quite a few more steps to taking a rifle. Nope, nothing to worry about taking a bow into the U.S.

no problems, taking yer bow across the boarder, I drive truck for a living,
I carry my bows with me all the time , for 3 D shoots and for hunting in south Texas, have been asked several times why i have it with me I explain why and they just tell cool have a good trip

Only thing my brother does is take the broadheads off the arrows and puts on target tips.Takes the broad heads seperate in a plastic case.
Doesn't even have to do that just he finds then it is set up for target and gets less of a reaction if they look at it
