Bringing Back Trapping supplies from the US

Hey Guys,

There's been lots of threads about what gun parts/accessories, etc you can legally bring back if you're in the US, but i don't recall hearing anything about traps.
I am just looking for a few cheaper, smaller traps basically as wall hangers at the camp, and they seem hard to find/expensive anywhere locally, so i was thinking about looking stateside when we go down shopping this weekend. Does anyone know if there's any issues with export/import regs for animal traps?

None. Even if the traps might not be legal to use in the woods, they are still legal to bring over for a collection or whatever.

You'll just have to pay duty if they are above the personal exemption.

If you buy American built traps there should be no duty. I wouldn't make any bets on getting scents or lures back, but traps are fine. US prices are much better than ours.

I agree. Last time I was told not to take any scents or lures and all the rest was good. Braided Snare wire etc was the bulk of what I bought then

I lost a buddy's conibear last fall and tild him I would replace it. I bet I spent half price in the US when I found one there.
