Took my CORE about 10 years ago...when I was around 15...got my hunters number and license...lost interest in hunting...not sure why...lost hunters number card, tagbook ect...anyways now that I pay to fill the freezer I am interested in hunting again...how do I go about getting it back ?...Google says Service Canada...but I am not sure I have proof of passing the CORE...will Service Canada have me on record somewhere ? or do I need proof of passing the CORE ? Any help or thoughts are appreciated thanks

Service Canada is the Federal Gubermint Office.
Try your local Provincial Gubermint Office.
Try these folks here... http://www.servicebc.gov.bc.ca/locations/duncan.html

The link above contains the services available through this Service BC Centre. Services vary by location, please check to ensure the service you are seeking is available at your local Service BC Centre.

You will need a couple bit of Ident. Passport works great and might have to swear out an Affidavits and thus an appointment is/maybe required and keep us posted on how it works out for you please.

Welcome back. If you are in a smaller town there will be a government access centre, check that out.

yea I do live in a small town...so much as that I have to take a small ferry over to the next smallest town...which thankfully does have a Service BC building and the great n' mighty internet says they do in fact deal with hunter numbers/licenses...going over tomorrow morning to see how it goes...thanks for the interest and advice will let you all know what happens

well 42 dollars later im back in the game...new hunter number card, license and tagbook...all that was asked for was my drivers license...didn't get any deer tags yet as camp is only a gloomy two days away and the gf is on the search for a new deepfreeze...feels good though excited for next week...

I live on Quadra Island...LOTS of little blacktails runnin' around EVERYWHERE...at least a few cougars on the island (buddy has seen 5 over his 25 years)...at least one pack of wolves resides here as well, they have taken peoples dogs while walking on a leash even...and not a bad little grouse population...and the odd black bear swims over and goes as im sure much of the other wildlife do...and the big island (Vancouver Island) is only a 15 min ferry ride away so now saying all that im realizing I should have gotten back into it a long long time ago...or never left...
