A very interesting article posted here on the true pressure of the 455 webley.
It appears that the british use a different pressure measuring system, and if measured under the american system, the 455 Webley operating pressure would actually be closer to 15,000-16,000 psi (in line with 44 russian, 44 colt), instead of the 13,500 psi typically discussed based on a direct conversion of "6 long tons" proof mark stampings.
