So...

...just finished modding an ATI T3 Taclite to the PM5 and I truly believe these shotguns should be coming from factory in this setup.

In terms of handling, it's a night and day difference.
The PM5 with an 11.5" LOP now feels like a normal pump (in terms of reach), but with the added bonus of AWESOME 7-RND magazines.

The OEM stock has a longer LOP (13" I think) and the problem is that your other arm really needs to stretch to its limits on the forward stroke when you are squared up to a target and shotgun is shouldered. It really is unusable with the OEM stock (an under-the-armpit gravel-pit-blaster!)

However, with a shorter 11.5" LOP this shotgun is serious buisness!

I removed the picatinny/rear sight as I find it too busy. I like a bead or blade up front and that's it.
Action is silky smooth. Never had a problem to date. Love love love it! Magazines insert, feed-shells and remove with ease.

I'm posting in the hopes that someone will actually make a proper adapter kit for these as they are great shotguns (best magazines in the business?)

The mod: I won't get into too much details as it was a mostly "to see if I can do it" ...I used a drill press, dremel-tool and JBWELD to modify the "Tristar Raptor" adapter from ATI; yes, it's that close to being the same part (I wonder if ATI would make one for the PM5?)

Anyway, I'm hoping this will inspire someone to machine something for these because they are great! I'd buy one.

My modded-adapter works, but, anytime something has "dremel" and "JB weld," it bothers me knowing someone, somewhere couldve CNC'd a professional aluminum adapter :)

*** Most importantly, the shotgun was not modified/altered in any way (always hack-up the cheap parts, in this case a plastic adapter plate) ***

EnjoY!

Looks good.

I totally agree that a mag-fed pump must have a shorter length of pull than other shotguns.
Mainly because your arm is reaching past the big magazine to work the pump.
