I planned to sleep in on sun morning but woke up at 6:30 am instead and then remembered that there was a gun show 45min away,so off I went. The show was packed and I skipped some tables that were full of tire kickers and hurried through the rest, I was feeling like I should have stayed home when I realized that I missed a row. The first table I stopped at had a mint Brno mod 2-E (ZKM 452) with the manual and an extra mag, so needless to say it came home with me. I left really glad I woke up early as I have been looking for a good one for about 3 years. It has exellent wood with one small ding, here's a couple of pics.

So now I just have to order a scope and then find out what ammo it likes, anyone have any recomendations. I can't wait to find out how it will group. This is the first time a rimfire rifle has ever got me excited.
Regards.

I own many of these in model 1 and 4 and the 452. I love them obviously and always happy to see nice ones like yours. I have found that to a rifle, they all prefer Federal ammo, especially the American Eagle brand of Federal (Long Rifle). But make sure it is not the bulk uncoated lead Federal - they appear not to like it.

The group size difference is staggering between the uncoated and coated Federal - and I wont even get into how bad the Winchester was.

Over the years I have settled on buying the American Eagle brand L.R. - hopefully hollow points , and the gophers dont know what hit them out to some very nice ranges.

It should group within 1 inch for sure at 50 yds with the right ammo.

They are very good rifles that last and last

another suggestion, if you are going to scope it -- do not use conventional North American 3/8 inch dovetail rings -- they will be slightly off center. better to find the proper BRNO rings ($$$) or BKL rings for the 11 mm dovetail -- the BKL center themselves due to their design and are most exellent rings for the $20 - but you will likely have to order them on line -- just google BKL rings.

good luck

Interesting......I have a Model 4 that I shoot a ton....it loves Federal as well, and hates Winchester, although I don't seem to see much difference between the lead and jacketed stuff....only HPs, never tried solids.

Your lucky,I had one in my hands but the seller decided at the last min. not to sell it.Damb.So I went straight down to the gun store and bought a CZ 2e that came with nice wood.Let me know what scope you decide on. I am thinking of a Bush. 3-9 Legend.

cost

Very nice! You don't have to divulge if you don't want to. It appears most of the nice Brno's go for $400 and up. What did you shell out for this beauty? I recently bought a Model 1 with nice wood and some extras for 400 bucks. Just wondering what you paid for this one. Later.

It's actually a CZ made with Brno supervision.

Brno / CZUB 452-2E / LUX
Transition of Brno 452 manufactured by CZ. Manufactured between 1968 -1972, these were the first Brno designed rifles manufactured by CZ, when rimfire / centerfires were switched over to CZ Brod. Very similar to original Brno rifles – latter made CZ manufactured had other changes.
