Thought I’d start a thread to discuss these rifles, with others who really appreciate Brno 21h rifles.
I own one in 7x57, and almost bought another in 7x64 a few months back.

I bought my rifle from another member about a year ago and have been very pleased with it.
Still working on a load for it but 154gr and 160gr bullets shows promise.

They are a classic rifle...the best examples were from the late forties. I had a 7x57 redone to 7x64 and a 6.5x57.

Great rifles try 46gr of IMR 4350 with 160gr bullet for 3/4" groups or 50gr of RE#22 same bullet for one hole.Win brass /Fed mag primer 160gr Speer Grand Slams........Work you loads up a little lighter as these were safe in my 21H may not be in yours.

46gr of IMR4350 with a 160gr Sierra GK is what mine seems to like.
I’m not quite at 3/4” groups yet but plan on fiddling with seating depth next.

I’ve never used speer bullets. How do they compare to Sierra bullets ?

21H in 8x57 here.
1949 I beleaf.
Double set trigger has spoilt me rawttin.
Everything else I buy needs to be ne'er this.

Had one in 7x57 years ago and wished I'd kept that for Thing 2.

I have seven 7x57 rifles, carbines and one model 22 carbine. An 8x57 and a 6.x57 both rifles. I shoot 139 grn. Hornady PSP bullets and IMR 4320 powder.

Have you ever attempted to get the front trigger pull lighter without being set?
Mine is probably around 10lbs unset.
I can see that being a problem in the heat of the moment.
But then again maybe that prevents me from taking stupid shots.

I don't bother with the front trigger as the primary.
What I do need to find is that spring in there as mine has been tinkered with.
I don't let anyone else use this rifle, it's that light.
And yes, I do know it is adjustable.
I need to rekindle my relationship with this pretty gal though.

I had a 21H 7X57 35 years ago, and I quite liked the rifle, it was accurate, had a great trigger, felt like a solid (real) rifle in the hand and at the shoulder, but my OCD would not allow me to accept the "tumorous growth" of a cheek pad on the stock... it just jangled my nerves every time I looked at it... rather than bubba the stock, I sold it and bought a Ruger M77 Tang Safety 7X57 that I hunted with for a decade, before I switched to M77 MKII rifles.

I am always on the lookout for a decent brno 21/22 in 7x57 and even more so if it has the bolt handle replaced/altered and a single trigger. Nice little rifles!

I recently purchased the Brno 21H chambered in the 7x57. I purchased a set of Warne Quick Detachable High rings and placed a Leupold VX2-4x12x40AO on it. I was going to start off with 140 gr. accubonds then changed my mind to 160 gr. accubonds. I conducted load development with the 160's using IMR-4350 and Reloder 22. This rifle has a very long throat, from the case head to the ogive is 2.786". I seated the bullet .064" shorter than the ogive length so that it can fit into the magazine, with room to spare. The COL is 3.304". It will be about 10 days before I can get to the rifle range to test her out. It's a lovely slender stalking rifle.

I settled with IMR 7828, RP brass and Hornady's 175gr round nose, O.A.L 3.070".
I get 1.25" from 5 shots at 100 meters, i'm happy with it.
Hornady discontinued those, hope you have a few squirrelled away.
I’ve loaded them with 4350 and my rifle shoots them really well too.
But think I’ve had too much jump with how I seated them (at the cannilure)
