I have a #3 and #4 Brno rifle. I bought a Klinsky replacement stock for one of them but it doesn't fit. I think this Klinsky stock is for a 452, but I'm just guessing. Would anyone know the differences between the #3 and#4 compared to CZ 452-455 rifles ? Would a 452 and 455 interchange between stocks. One last question, Which is the better all round rifle as far as trigger and general accuracy goes ???

I think you should do some research on RIMFIRE CENTRAL. You should find the needed info. But what i can tell you is that BRNO mod 3 and 4 were target rifles and CZ 452 and 455 are hunting rifles. So barrel contour, barrel and action screws are not necessary the same. The general consensus about which of 452 or 455 is the best all around or which you should get is, while you can still find 452's get them. If you like the barrel swap option, then the 455 is what you need.

To my knowledge the 452 is a copy of the BRNO #2, a trainer thin barrel rifle. BRNO #3 & #4 are target heavy barrels. I'm not sure if there are other differences that would affect the fit to the stock. The 452 also comes in the Varmint variant that also has a heavy barrel, so you need to know what version the Klinsky stock is made for.

I have the model 3 and model 4. The model 3 is in a Klinsky stock which will also fit the model 4, since the inletting is the same.

The trigger on the model 4 is far better, but the accuracy of both rifles is the same.

It doesn't look like it would be very difficult to modify your Klinsky stock to fit.

Can`t help with the stock fitting problem but between the others i have a 452 varmint and a 455 lux. The 455 is very accurate and as soon as the weather cooperates i will be comparing the two with similar scopes and athe same ammo. I plan on making a 17m2 barrel for the 455 that is one reason i picked it up, that and it was only $350 and i found it has a Timney trigger already installed. I agree that you may want to ask on Rimfire Central those boys take CZ and BRNO rifles seriously.

Thanks for the replies. I contacted the dealer today and he said there may have been a mix up somewhere. He say's he will sort it out. It will still likely cost me more money for shipping, but cheaper than buying another rifle to fill this stock. ;) Maybe I should put a FS add in the EE

I just got a update from the dealer on what rifles this stock fits. "The stock was made for Brno ZKM 451(Model 1) .22LR bolt action action

Very popular in US and Canada. With minor rework – touch ( in trigger cavity and barrel channel)

Will take Brno Model 1, Brno Model 2, Brno Model 5, CZ 452/ Lux/ UL/Trainer, ZKM 452-2E – all in .22LR caliber.

The CZ 455 is newest CZ rifle - entirely different and this stock cannot be used for CZ 455." I just listed it "For Sale" on the Exchange of Parts and Accessories for Precision and Target Rifles. Only reason I'am selling this is it won't fit my rifles. :( I'll give it 3 weeks on the EE and then I'll send it back to him. The stock was miss packaged and my new correct stock is on it's way.:D

It looks like your Brno # 4 was cut down from the original 27.5" barrel and sporterized a bit. How long is your barrel?

I've got a 1958 #4 that has some flaws that I'm considering cutting back to 19-20", Parkerizing, re-stocking and getting back operational as a prime shooter, but I'm wondering how yours does and if you're happy with it's accuracy?

accuracy of cut down Bruno model 4

I have a brno model 4 that was cut down to 625 mm from the original 700mm and re-crowned with an 11 deg target crown. Don't know how it shot originally but I have scored several 50 2x targets in club 50 yd bench rest competitions. Haven't worked out barrel tuner and best ammo yet.

Can't figure out how to post a picture yet. The front globe sight is set back from the end of the barrel which was the first clue that it was a shortened barrel. Brno positioned the globe sight flush to the end of the barrel. So I am told.
