I'm buying a couple of 22's from a friend and need approximate values. First is a CIL/Anshutz single shot in very good condition with the exception of a broken but plate. The second is a Brno. Newer model in very good to excellent condition.
This is all the info I have on these 2, as he's out of town right now.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

THanks,

Bob

Yeah the model will definitely make a difference in value. The broken butt plate will reduce the value a little bit, depending if it is just cosmetic or a functional problem such as snagging when you mount it. The BRNO .22LRs started as USSR WW2 training rifles. In excellent shape they can be quite valuable as they are known to be very accurate. Note some of them were refinished and stored, so they may not be original. Here's a break down of what I know of BRNO .22s. Model 1 & 2 are the sporter (regular) barrel versions. Model 3 & 4 are heavy target barrels. Model 5 is a sporter target barrel. Model 1 & 2 are common, but still sought after. Not many owners sell them. Model 1 has a flip up rear sights for 50, 75, and 100m. Model 2 has adjustable rear sight. Model 3 & 4 are more rare with heavy barrels. I haven't seen them myself. Model 5 is reported to be the most desirable. They seem to be rare too and I've not seen them either. It's safety is suppose to be tangent like the CZ452's, as compared to the model 1 & 2 that have an inline switch.

From what I understand, BRNO started producing the Model 1 in the late 40s, after the second world war. The Model 2 appears to be a revamped Model 1, with a better trigger. The Model 3 was a target version that was also available as the rarest BRNO model, when equipped with the double triggers. I owned a model 4 which was a later version of the target rifle, and I owned a Model 5 as well, which was a sporter with the flip up rear sight blades like the Model 1.

They are only rare as the owners don't wish to sell them.
I just bought a CZ 452 and nothing rare about her other than they
quit making them.
Great piece of work for the price.
The adjusted trigger puts her up there with my Brno 21H double set.
She ain't fabulous as far as looks go, but not for sale either.......... :D

Depends on the CIL ANSCHUTZ model. I have 2 mod 190 single shot, be hard to part with either for less than 4-5 hundred each. A lesser model than a 64 series would bring a lower price.

Maybe it's a 180?

It wouldn't be a Brno if it's a newer model. Brno hasn't made their own rimfires since the 1960's.

Transition of Brno ZKM 452 (Model 2) – CZ manufactured rifles manufactured between 1968 -1972, these were the first Brno designed rifles manufactured by CZ under Brno inspectors, when rimfire / centerfire bolt rifles were switched over to CZ Brod.

A friend of mine in BC has a BRNO sporter very similar to the CIL Anschutz 310. It is older and a superb rifle. I also have a 310 same as pictured in the ad above. Bought it new in the mid 70's
