Hi,

I just acquired a 95% mint mod 4 with 5 rd mag.

Have been told that norinco knock offs had similar mags fitting well into mod 4 (5 &9 rd mag)

Is this correct??

What and where can I learn about this nice and hefty trainer rifle.

Peep, IMO is not as good as what I have on Anschutz/CIL 190, but you can't have it all.

Can it be scoped with standard rimfire dovetail rings???

I would stick with the standard CZ clip, they are plastic but they seem to work good and last. The dovetails are 5/8 I think where the standard 22 is 3/8. anyways they do not interchange. Most of the new CZ parts work on the older Brno's.

The 5/8" rings are hard to find but Tikka uses a 5/8" dovetail. You just have to remove the little locking tit on the underside.

Tikka's are 16mmm

Brno rimfires are 15mm!!!

The tikka made rings from the old model 65 days will not tighten sufficiently on your brno!

Just order a set of new CZ model 527 rings(15mm), they come in many different styles and 2 heights, hope this helps, Dale Z!
 
Tikka manufactured rings will not tighten sufficiently on the BRNO #1,2,3,4 or 5 ,but other manufacturer rings made for Tikka such as Millet will work OK.

Mark I have tryed my original Tikka model 65 rings made by Tikka and neither set will fit my #5's or #3 or 581 or my BRNO 22hornet model 465.

I have found that the old windage adjustable Sako manufactures rings will work great on the BRNO 15mm brackets, didn't try this till a few months ago!
 
Really looking forward to take her out for some practice.

I have to check if globe front sight inserts are compatible with Anschutz inserts. Micrometer peep is nice but not as elaborate as Anschutz.
Clicking probably at 1/3 minute??

Just found some Millet dovetail rings and polymer mags to set her as F class trainer.

5 round mag is a pain to remove and impossible with gloves on.

Trigger break is really clean and better than I was expecting.
