BRNO Model 5 in Original box

I would guess sometime after 1972 based on the serial number and the box marked Uhersky Brod

I think harder to find than the Mod 4. Since I got mine, it seems that a bunch are coming out of the wood-work.

My first reaction was to PM the OP saying "lmk if you ever decide to sell" but IDK....that might appeal more to a collector who'd pay more and leave it in the box!

Lovely gun. I'm on a crappy monitor rn but it almost looks like a BRNO 2E with more of an "American" type buttstock? Either way, lovely rifle! I'm sure the OP is stoked=I would be.

The year of manufacture should be stamped on the side of the receiver near the barrel

Really too bad they never put a good looking trigger and trigger guard on any of them right from the get go... all have been pretty good shooters though... I know of several that were installed into CIL 190 stocks/target sights added, triggers fixed and used competitively...over 50 years ago

That is in Beautiful condition! Looks unfired from the pix! Owned a few of these over the years, still have one in Heavy BBL. Very well made, Great quality, accurate as heck.

Hard to believe the workmanship you could get back then for ONLY $105 bucks!

I agree. I'm assuming that the target sights were dealer added, but I have 2 model 5's (573's) with 2 different styles of target sights and in both cases I wouldn't sell the sights for $105!
