Thanks guys. Do they swap between BRNO and older CZ 22s? Now off to hunt for some mags, and a rear sight!

Yes, the mags work in the Brno's and CZ (22LR's).

Rear sights pop up on ebay.co.uk quite frequently.

I've used the mags in my BRNOs and my CZ 452 without an issue. The mags shouldn't be difficult to find however a rear sight may take some searching.

My Model 5's (have 4 of them) are all marked on the barrel as Model 5 (three are from 1957). Had a Model 5 from 1966 also marked Model 5 however its found a new home with a friend. Also have a Model 1 from early '50's.

Thanks for all the info guys.

I will have to dig out the elaborate Lyman target sight that was mounted on it and snap a few pics to post. Its unfortunate that the rear barrel sight vanished before i got the rifle off a much older friend. IIRC, it a 1966 dated rifle.

Model 5

We are lucky to have so many of the Brno Model 5 still available in Canada.

The Model 5 is internationally (not just in the USA) recognized as the best of the Brno 22 sporter models.

(The heavy barrel target versions are a different kettle of fish.)
