Hi folks. I'm going through my odds and ends and found that I have a complete Brno model 1, less the action bolts/screws. I'm missing the front and rear bolts that hold the floor plate and stock to the action. Any of you have any suggestions where I might source those? Now that Denny's gone I'm not sure where to turn? Thanks in advance, Jon.

Model one is a very old rifle made during WW2
J&G Sales Ltd got Danny's BRNO parts

I am sure that I had read that what became the BRNO No. 1, was designed in WWII. The unit that I have has "55" on both the barrel and the front receiver ring - I was told this was the last two digits of year of manufacture. I am certain they were made long after that, but I do not have that detail. On left rear of receiver it reads " - ZBROJOVKA BRNO -", then below that reads "narodni podnik" - I do not know what the words mean in English. Up on the barrel, ahead of the rear sight, it reads, "(logo) BRNO MOD 1 cal 22 Long Rifle". That (logo) I would describe as a circle, then the capital letter Z centered within rifling twists - within a spiral.

London Arms David Campbell has (had?) a ton of Brno parts

No website, you need to call them. They don’t even take CC you had to send a check.

It’s been a number of years since I dealt with them though.

Action screws for Brno and CZ bolt action .22LR will be metric M6 with standard 1.0 pitch thread.

Genuine parts are very hard to find. It may be advisable to find some long M6 screws with as similar a head as possible and cut to required size. If necessary head shape can be modified to a degree by putting the screw in a drill press or drill, with extra care for the threads, and shaping it with a file or something similar.

Thanks for all the replies/suggestions. I'm not concerned about keeping the rifle original since it's a parts gun to start with. I'll try finding a metric match in our local Bolt Supply, fi that doesn't work I'll follow up with WGP and Wolverine. The stock I have is rough, bluing is poor, but usually those old Brnos shoot, so I thought it might make a good truck gun. Thanks again!

If you can get them, the DIP screws for a CZ452 work fine. You want their SKU CZ-19015. Otherwise as the poster above suggests, M6 machine screws trimmed to length and with the heads slightly modified.

If necessary you can try hitting up the rimfire.com website based out of the USA, check out the CZ/Brno or is it Brno/CZ section. There are plenty of people willing to help out especially if your saving an old Brno from the scrap heap. Best of luck to you!

OP - expect some variation - as mentioned, the made-in-1955 BRNO Mod 1 here has four "action" screws with two different size heads - I did not dismantle to verify what threads they are. A made-in-2011 CZ-452 Scout that is here uses three "action" screws - all three appear to have the same size screw head. I did not dismantle to see whether all are truly "threaded screws" that thread into the receiver, or whether some might be wood screws that screw into the wood stock.

The Model 1 has two action screws. One attaches to the barrel band below the rear sight. It's a filister-headed M6 machine screw that fastens the forestock to the barrel. The other goes through the trigger guard and is an oval head M6 machine screw that holds the rear part of the stock to the action. The other two screws are wood screws that hold the trigger guard to the stock. All screws are slotted.
Again, if you can find a screw set for a CZ452 Lux or trainer, it will work.
The CZ 452 Scout uses one action screw (again, M6) through the trigger guard that secures the stock to the action. It uses two wood screws to fasten the trigger guard to the stock.
