Hi there!

Hope you are all keeping safe, happy, and healthy in these wild times! We were fortunate enough to get drawn for cow moose this year, and double-fortunate in that I was able to use it as an opportunity to make another video for Brobee's youtube channel. It features a 30-30 lever action moose hunt, my daughter's deer, and a special segment at the end on how we use the fat from the animals we kill each year to make an awesome soap.

My gun was an run-of-the-mill winchester 94 angle eject in 30-30, and my daughter scored on her first buck with her new Tikka T3X Compact in .308win.

Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed it!

Best,

Brobee

Your videos are substantially better than most of the rubbish that passes for hunting TV /visual media. Well done, keep them coming.

Great job on the homemade soap too!
Research for yourself lavender soaps. A myriad of almost underground health benefits. Rumors that head nurses in mental institutions demanded patient bed sheets had this lavender aroma for a natural calming effect on people. And the magnesium within this soap had other health benefits too.
Mention this to many recent pharmacists you will only receive an empty stare.

Congrats to you both, I won’t lie though. I was half hoping for a tac14 moose hunt, just kidding lol.

Oh good I’m not the only one who’s immediate thought was “
What kind of shotgun is he going to use on the moose?”.

Nice video Brobee, hope that the steel targets are selling well.

Nice work! Enjoyed each part, makes me want to try making soap at some point lol

We make a lot of lavender soap...I use it at the end of the day and agree it seems like there is some sort of relaxing characteristic to it.

Deer tallow makes an awesome base material for cold process soap - if you have not tried it, it's not as nasty as it might seem either as the fat renders well and without any super-nasty smells. The resulting soap is coveted by everyone we give it to.

Cheers,

Brobee

Ha! Fair criticism, as I did talk about that possibility quite a bit in previous videos. I actually had it in my hands a couple of mornings, but in some strange bend of Brobee logic kinda felt like it was less Canadian than experiencing moose with the 30-30. Not sure why "Canadian" mattered, but somehow it did.

Target sales are a bit slow, but folks who have bought them almost immediately want others in the series, so we've had a lot of repeat customers. Hope you are enjoying yours!

Cheers,

Brobee

Thank you! There is a little piece of me that wishes I could find a way to make it my full-time-job...but then I come back to reality and realize I should not give up my day job anytime soon...;)

Best,

Brobee: As usual, top quality video clip. Congrats to you and your young lady.
I raised a family of 4 on Elk, Moose and deer meat. I can surely relate to your
hunt, as my oldest daughter was my hunting partner from age 12 on.
Great section on soap making as well. Regards, Dave.
