It seems the broken links on the challenger press does happen after all....

I got this from Higgensons. Is there any kind of warranty? I think I have loaded maybe 300 rifle cases with this press and blam!

Can I order just the links?

I am not a brute, I am actually something of a girlie man - makes me wonder how many of these have broke! :(

Some of us got alot of flak a while back because we dissed Lee products, at least the ones that require strength or ruggedness, someothers and myself suggested new shooters start out with Quality equip. such as RCBS or comparable. We cast bullets by the hundreds(usually daily) and learned very early that Lee moulds do not stand up and in fact fall apart very quickly...so in summary...I hate to say I told you so but.........

Yup, and RCBS and Hornady and Lyman never break either:rolleyes: .. Seems I have a box of "unbreakable" RCBS parts somewhere, but like Lee, they were easily and readily replaced by the manufacturer..
Lets not start this silly arguement again
Cheers

Geez, I wish I'd known that.... been loading on a Lee "O" frame single stage press since 1989. According to my reloading log this press has loaded about 10,800 cartridges. Everything from .32ACP right up to and including .300 Win Mag [with about 20 different standard & magnum pistol & rifle ctgs in between]. Haven't had one hitch with mine. Must've been lucky, I guess.

To Proudfoo - Get ahold of Lee. I'm bettin' they'll make good on their equipment. ;)

If you want to buy the part goto ww.leeprecision.com add a w then between the the number of the model of Lee product you have and the price ,it says parts, click on that it lists all the parts for that product and price . Your parts are $3us each 2 required. Higginsons probably has the parts .

NAA....obviously you haven't had any experience with Lee Products in the bullet making or heavy resizing chores, we are constantly using Redding, RCBS, Corbin, SAeco, Equip. and asking them to do chores we wouldn't dream of trying with Lee Equip.,. it just seems that in alot of cases spending a little extra is worth it ...one RCBS Rockchucker and an old A-2 are still be used for swaging lead bullets they have been in use since 1964.

Yes, two years, although Lee will often replace parts out of warranty.

Yes, someone else pointed out that you can order all the service parts directly from Lee if you want spares on hand.

I wore the links out on mine and Lee replaced them for $6 + mailing as I recall. I wrote directly to the Lee factory.
I can't complain about the Lee, for the price, in the slightest. I used it for loading all calibers, for case forming, and for sizing bullets. It got a lot of heavy use and worked well.
