Broke one of the SVT-40 magazines I ordered from Westrifle while I was fussing with it while trying to get it to fit & feed properly.
Essentially, I was looking at different ways of repositioning the lugs so the rim of the cartridge would be high enough for the bolt to catch & feed.
Long story short, the internal horizontal plate on which the rounds rest became separated from the vertical plate that guides things up and down.
I have to find a way to reattach the two plates. I'm thinking JB Weld or some type of epoxy.
Advice, hints, comments... all are welcome.
I can even take a pic of the pieces tonite to show you what I broke. Right now all I have is a bunch of pieces in a Ziploc baggy.
P.S. If anyone wants to give me advice on how to reposition the lugs as well, that would be appreciated.
