Broke the handguard on my sks!!!!

Gain access to the Equipment Exchange and put up a WTB (want to buy) ad for one. I'm sure lots of guys out there have them after changing out their original stocks for an aftermarket one.

You can easily repair it by spreading the crack open slightly, cleaning the crack with acetone to get the oil out of the wood and then use old fashioned wood glue in the crack and clamp it overnight. It will be stronger than it was before. You have nothing to lose on this attempt except the price of a bottle of wood glue and some acetone Sir.

Post a picture of the broken hand guard and I can maybe offer a more detailed suggestion.
