I had a failure to feed today on my XCR. I have about 1 k rounds thru her and this is my first failure. I found the firing pin sticking was out and jammed in this position. I took the bolt out and pressed on the firing pin sticking out . It retracted back in. Then the gun works fine. Problem is , when I point the the bolt down, the firing pin protrudes out the hole. I didn't think this was normal. At home, I knock out the retaining pin and out comes two pieces of a firing pin. the small piece is about 9 mm. long. I'll call Robarms tomorrow.
Ok , so here is the question. I do alot of dry firing with this gun for practice purposes. Would dry firing cause the pin to break like this?
The dang things still works with a broken firing pin----unless the broken pin gets jammed. So what do you think.
