couple nights ago I was doing my nightly 10 min of dry fire training with my Model 357 Astra,and the ####ing hammer snapped off!!!!!! This one is gonna be a real bugger to get working again as they are not that common.If any of you Nutters have any leads as to who or where to find one let me know!

Yes I was using home made ones,38 spl brass with silicone in the primer pockets.

Weld it and reshape with a dremel/file. If it's cast iron it can still be welded but you'll have to pre-heat with a torch. Brazing is also an option. If you have all the pieces you can have a new one made or make one yourself. I've rewelded hammers and made a complete trigger with simple plate steel cut and ground to the right specs with regular home shop tools.

Considering when Astra went out of business the state of MIM in 2014 is indeed totally irrelevant.
