Broken Zeiss Conquest 4.5x14x44.....How's there warranty

Well with hunting season fast approaching this is depressing....I was out at the range on sunday and after I took about my 8th shot of the day I instantley noticed something was wrong with the scope.it almost appears that the reticle inside the scope Branched off the one side where it almost looks like there's a crack inside the scope.it is hard to explain but this crack looking figure inside the scope is as black as the mil-dot reticle.The glass on the scope is in mint condition aswell as everything else.there is'nt even scope rings on the tube.For a $1000.00 \1.5 year old scope i'm kind of disapointed,but I do realize that anything mechanical can break down .anyhow.......

So I shipped my scope to Gentec Industries in Markham Ontario yesterday who handles zeiss warranty work,and then I was told by them that they have to ship the scope to Virgina in the usa.it sounds promising,so I hope that everything works out and I get my scope fixed.I understand that I probabley wont get my best scope back for hunting season,which sucks,but thankfully I have an extra 3x9x40 zeiss laying around.

Has anyone on here dealt with Gentec or zeiss warranty work? how bad or good was your experiences,Thanks,WJ!
 
Can't remember how long mine took, don't think was too long. You should buy another if your in a hurry..lol Then pm when yours comes back.:D
 
It took nine weeks to get my scope back the first time. (this scope sits on my heavy 6br and range use only never got abuse) 6 months later, the same problem happened. Sent it back and nine weeks later I got it back. They did not do anything to it. I called Greg at Gentec and was told to send it back to him. He sent it back to Virginia. Had to wait another nine weeks.
I Will not buy another Zeiss scope again.
