If anyone owns, or has access to, ANY brand of "BRONCO" .22rf single-shot rifle, I have ONE question regarding the gun, for research purposes. Below is a photo of my BRONCO made by Firearms International Corp. of Washington, DC.
Others in this realm include those BRONCOs sold by Garcia in Teaneck, NJ, and guns called the BAUER RABBIT offered by the Bauer Company of Michigan.
Please check the entire gun for a stamping of MADE IN ITALY on it. It has been rumored, and accepted as fact by collecors, that ALL Broncos were made by some "unknown maker" in Italy. IF that is true, those guns would be required to be stamped someplace on them as MADE IN ITALY - due to the Gun Act of 1968.
I was advised by the Editor of Gun Digest that they had that info in their Bronco discriptions for years but were unable to document it as true. He said they have since edited that info OUT of their descriptions.
Please let me know if you come if with a Bronco so marked. Thanks in advance for your help.
