been thinking about buying a browing x bolt stainless stocker in 7mm08,was wondering what the guys who own an xbolt rifle thought about them.

feel
handleling
accurracy
feeding
ejecting
are they worth the money.

yep, triple A+ rating here, youngest Jr just bought a brand spanke'n new one, he got a nice freezer full of
buck on Monday with it, head shot, no meat loss. 7mm-08. oh soooooooo happy!
"Are they worth the money?" you betcha and every penny!

I was toying with one at a gunshop and it felt like a world of win.
Shouldered and fit nice.
The mag fell out and pushed in without any effort or alignment issues.
Bolt moved out and in as a Browning so smoothly does.
Weight felt about right.
I didn't care for the color scheme of the plastic/stainless, but the wood/blue
looked like one wouldn't get bullied too badly.
Only thing I don't know about is the trigger.
I would choose this over the new Vanguard 2 and would be a close call
on the T-3 Lite.
The trigger would be the deciding factor for me.

My 14 year old daughter shot a nice basket buck (first dear) with her new X Bolt Micro Hunter 7-08 on Monday. I worked up a load and was very pleased with the accuracy. The trigger is quite good for a factory rifle, the Tikka has a little lighter trigger but there is no creep in the X Bolt which make for a really nice trigger non the less.

I've got one in 300 win mag.
Nice smooth bolt, 60 degree throw with a safety that can remain on while unloading. excellent trigger, detachable mag is awesome. Very accurate ( just over one MOA) with cheap federal blue box ammo. Fit and finish are A+

While I had no use for the A-Bolts, the X-Bolts appear to have addressed those issues very well.
Those who have the X-Bolts are pleased overall.
I have handled a couple of the newer offerings, and they feel good in the hands.
Accuracy reports are all positive.
This is a good thing. More options to consider.
Regards, Eagleye.

My youngest son bought his 10 year old boy one of the Browning X-Bolt Micro Midas Rifles in .308, put a decent scope on it
and off the bench his boy was shooting 100 yard 1.5 inch groups right away, and offhand got several 5 inch 5 shot groups.
I tried it on the bench and had 3 three shot groups all bullets touching.

Not shabby for right out of the box. Good feel, handling and great trigger.

The youngster took his first white-tail buck a few days later with it under his dad's
license. Pretty happy new hunter.

I really like mine its accurate,it handle really good and the trigger is nice.I have try quite a few different rifle and the x-bolt is one of my favorite.

has anyone had any feeding or ejecting problems??

Yessir, my first one ( a 300 WSM ) wouldn't eject properly and the dealer took it back and gave me another, Browning wouldn't do anything about the problem so the dealer bit the bullet on it as he did a couple others.
The second would only fail to extract the occasional case, but the accuracy or lack of was the real problem.
Neither one could come close to my Ruger short mag for either accuracy or smoothness of function and when your hunting area is populated with Grizzly Bear, you best be packing something reliable.... just in case.
