Brown Bess bayonet question

I have two Brown Bess 39" flintlock muskets and I am currently looking for a bayonet for booth.
The diameter of the barrel is slightly different between the two (very close)
My question is will a bayonet be hard to fit or match up on the gun ? Is there something I need? How will I know it will fit if I'm buying online ? Thanks :)
 
If you have a 39 inch Brown Bess it will be an India Pattern Brown Bess. They were used throughout the Napoleonic Wars. I would think any India Pattern bayonet should fit. Are yours original or reproduction guns?
 
The difference between the barrels could be based on a few things - are both marked "Tower"? Some of the contracted guns vary, so if one says "Tower" and the other says "Ketland & Co." they might be different.

Also remember they were hand made - so there will be differences.

Bayonets were fitted, but most should work. You might need to fit them yourself. Be wary of fake bayonets, there are lots of those. Good luck :)
