Brown Bess Trade or Trappers Gun

Although the “Brown Bess Military” was never produced as a “Trade Gun” does not mean that “English Trade Gun Smiths “did not refrain from using “Brown Bess” to help enhance the sales of their guns.

The Natives would trade more furs for a “Brown Bess” than a common trade gun.

This is one of these guns a “Very Rare Find” in this condition. It has a steel butt plate and a brass Native Style trigger guard which is “nailed” on with cut or square nails. Wood ram rod which could be original? .75 cal. X 39” barrel.

Asking $1200 plus shipping. Truly one of a kind.
