Brownells shipping costs?

Hi Everyone

I have seen people get amazing shipping prices from Brownells. Just wondering if there is something special that needs to be done. I called today to order something small weighing less then 1b they wanted $50. They don't calculate shipping online.

I just got a package shipped today. Shipped USPS INTC for $5.75. Pick shipping option USPS Parcel Post Priority and it's usually $5.75 for shipping. Cost also depends on size of the package shipped.

It may be being shipped by UPS ground.

It looks like your kit has solvent in it and may not be shipped by air as they (USPS,UPS,airlines, fed. gov.) don't like any flammables in packages.

Everyone should call Brownells when they order, if nothing else it gives you a chance to ask them to toss a catalog in with the order.
 
In the end they cancelled my order as Hoppes does not allow them to ship to Canada :(. Sucks big time but does anyone know if any other us online store ship to Canada with reasonable shipping charges?

I did that but they still dinged me for $30. Now that I'm on file, I'll just call in phone orders now so I'll be on the phone with a real person who can tell me what can/can't be shipped and my final total with shipping.
 
I just received my mags from Brownells. Shipped them for 5.75, got hit for taxes (which is normal) and a handling charge of 9.95 at Customs WTF !?!
 
I just made a magpul order today. 3 pack of followers, moe carbine foreend, moe grip, accuwedge. ($71.36 total price). Selected usps priority and wrote "please ship with lowest USPS rate available"

I will report back on what the CC invoice says once I get it. Hopefully under $6

With millions of packages coming across the border everyday CBSA can't process every single one. Packages are randomly picked and processed for Customs Fees.
 
I ordered Dawson sights that costs me $90 + shipping for $5 at the end I had to pay fr#$%ing customs fees for $22, almost %25. Not doing it again.

turned out to be $9.15 for "INTFC shipping" (international first class)
 
got the package today nov 13. it was sent Oct 26. Got hit with $19.18 in duties.

almost 20 bucks for $72 worth of parts. what an effing joke. sadly still cheaper than ordering from canada
