Browning 1911-22 A1 the 85% version - grips size

Hi all,

I purchased a Browning 1911-22 A1 - the one that is 85% of the full size gun.

I'm awaiting my transfer and delivery. Can anyone confirm if the grips size is the same as standard 1911? I'm hoping to make it my own by replacing the grips and I wonder if the regular size ones will do.

Heard so much of good comments about the pistol. Offer your feedback.

They will not. It is ALL 85% the size of a real one.

I believe the only part of the gun that is the same size as the original is the trigger guard.

I sure hope you have smaller hands. When I held one in the store it didn't fit me worth a darn. A sweetly made gun but the wrong size by a long shot for anyone that wears Large or XLarge gloves.

^ +1 cool gun but felt like a toy in my hand (even tho its well made). For someone with small hands it would be hard to beat.
