Browning has a 1911 (85% scale / aluminum) in 22LR... but they have an anniversary set that includes a full size steel 1911 in 45... there is a seperate SKU for just the one... question is, do you think they will release it seperately (minus the inlay and embelishment)? Is this made by Browning or sourced out?

I wonder who makes the base gun for them. They probably purchase them and have their custom shop do the cosmetics for the sets.

It's pretty but would you shoot it?

The .45s are not made by Browning. I think they are made in the Philippines, but I could be mistaken.

I see they are keeping faithful to the original 1911 cosmetics....

Long trigger, flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop, original style safety catch, slide with old style ball cut forward reliefs and frame with no relief cuts behind trigger guard.

Very, very cool whomever is making it.
