Does anyone here own one of the 1918 belt filler machines? I am looking for someone that is willing to do me a favor and make a video of how their loader operates? I have seen videos on Utube of these machine filling belts but what I am really looking for is a video showing in detail how all the parts in the loader function together while the crank is being turned. What would be very helpful is showing the location of the parts in relation to the handle being at different locations. Say 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock. I want to study the video and see if I can figure out how to design my own belt filler machine.
One shot I would really be interested in seeing is viewing down inside the channel where the ammo is loaded into the hopper. I know there is a arm that's at the bottom there that pushes the cartridge over and lines it up with the ram that pushes it into the belt. I would like to see how that arm operates.
Would love to buy one of these loaders but just don't want to spend 1K on one.
