I have no interest in these but ran across this in a shop not too far from home. In "as new" condition.....apparently quit making this model fourty years ago. Talk about quality of manufacture. Has a better grade stock with much figure. I can't remember the model number but it had a blued barrel with an engraved receiver in a silver matte colour. Almost make a guy want to have one! Value......???....price was $675.00

These are attractive rifles, and shoot well. It has been my misfortune to have to work on a couple of broken ones, though.

I admire the workmanship in the Browning rifles and shotguns....but...don't ever try to disassemble to clean! They are so finely made that it is a real struggle to disassemble and reassemble. Nice to look at though.

Curious as to where you saw it.
The Gun Room had one in their possesion... asking $450!
As soon as I saw it on their website I went over... already sold!
I'd have bought it in a heartbeat!
I've read they stopped making it due to high manufacturing costs, and back then, not too many people would fork over the type of money necessary to make it a profitable gun. Maybe that will change :D

Was it a Trombone (Belgian) or a BPR (Japan). They are both excellent rifles.

What is it about the Belgian Browning's? The quality was outstounding.
