Browning 800 mag pistol (700fps) - legal in canada

I just got a browning catalog and saw this pistol. Since it is above 500fps, is it considered a restricted weapon in Canada? I have not seen a pistol with this much power before.
 
To and from an approved range in a locked case.I'd remove the spring and replace it with a under 500fps one.Deregister it..................Harold

I was thinking the other way - buy a 500fps non restricted and put the heavier spring in it. Not too many cops have a chronograph....

When I was a kid. I was doing that to air guns. And selling them at school. (6 years ago) And I got busted for doing it. Trust me you don’t want to do it. It’s not worth the time in jail you will do if they find out.

Mine where doing 800-900 fps. And yes cops got a chronograph to check them.
 
My mistake I thought you had one ? I don't think there are any importers of the Browning pistol in Canada?They are Hatsan [Turkish] made..................Harold.... it's easier to get the under 500fps version and go from there.Less BS.....

Not with a pistol they weren't....I'd bet a 2-4 on that one. Fastest pistol I ever heard of was 826, and that was HPA with a stupid long barrel. No spring or CO2 pistol is ever going to hit those chrony numbers.

No not on a pistol. They where rifles. , some where cut down

Most I got from a pistol was 600fps and it had a 10” barrel
 
Uhh yeah, talk of illegal activities, no matter how silly, is not allowed. So if you're going to be hot rodding airguns, keep it to yourself.


And keep in mind that people of all kinds browse this site, including police officers.
