Browning A-Bolt Identification? Bausch and Lomb Scope? Value?

Definitely an Abolt 1. Hunter model, I think, although the 7L7 has me stumped also. Mine is '717'. The comment about it maybe being 'Laminate Hunter' would make sense? I have a '93 Hunter in .270 and wouldn't part with it for the world! Absolutely superb rifles, in my opinion. Heaps of great features too. The tang safety, 60deg bolt throw, removeable box mag with the flat floorplate, non-rotating bolt shroud . . . . . superb.

Anyway, great find!

I would suspect that is an aftermarket stock from Boyds. I don't ever remember the A-Bolt coming with a green and grey laminate. It also doesn't show up on Browning's site in their "Discontinued Models" page. My guess would be a restocked Composite Stalker as not many came with the matte finish in those days. But that last three digits is a mystery to me.

Regardless, you did quite well on that deal. That's just a about perfect rifle for pretty much any hunting in Canada and the price is less than you could get a bargain basement rifle for today, and a much better rifle.
