Browning A-Bolt M-1000 Eclipse - Comments Anyone?

I'm looking at this rifle in .270 WSM for deer. I already have a .30-06 in the A-bolt stainless stalker/composite stock and a T-3 laminated stainless in .300 WSM. Any comments or suggestions on alternatives in the $1000 to $1300 range would be great!

Hmmmm....I'd look at an X-Bolt personally if you want to stay in the Browning family.

Otherwise, maybe Winchester M70.

That Eclipse is a pretty heavy rifle for packing around the bush.

Also there is no practical difference in the field performance of the 2 rifles you already own and the 270wsm. (Although there is nothing wrong with owning several overlapping cartridges. )

If you are looking for a new rifle the logical next step would be up into a .338 or down into a .260 or similar. My preference would be a Remington Model 7 in .260

Drop plate. Same as the old M70.
