Been trying to find a shotgun that i would like, right now i own a Remington Versa max, owned a Beretta a391 extrema2, Remington 11-87's.
Stoeger M2000, Obviously a Remington 870, now i own a Browning Silver Hunter, wanting the Maxus, & or the New A5, but don't see much reviews on how they cycle, how the recoil are on these shotguns, Please someone with some experience with this shotgun or know what the recoil are like, comment below.

I tried the new A5 with 1 ounce 1290fps and thought the recoil was stout with such a light load. It is fairly light. I have no experience with the Maxus but heard it was fairly soft shootings.

I have a new.browning a5 stalker 3.5 . The recoil is fine no worse than a over under or pump i don't know why people complain so much about it. I shool 3.5 00 buck in the bush and have no issues I find my over under kicks a lot more to be honest. The gun is great no jams shoots all loads it is light for carrying all day great point ability. The only issue I have its longer than my 1187 by about two inches not the greatest in thick bush.

I have both . Maxus stalker 3" and an A5 3" . the stock geometry and fit are very close between the 2 . the A5 is slightly longer over all even though both are 28" barrels . the A5 has a right palm swell and of course a squared off receiver . both have the speed load feature and magazine cut off however the cut off operates differently on each gun . the recoil between the two guns is different for sure .not necessarily more or less just a different feel to me .

I've got a few A-5's'round'ear.
Ol Pah bawt me a new A-5 three inch mag back in the early 80's.
Don't recall much furr recoil with them tree'in'cherzs.
Dang Fiver weighs a tun compared to my Light in 2 3/4".
Buy an old school Three Inch Mag A'5.
They do show up in the EE effry now'n'a'gin.
Sum arr priced at a buyy'er'z's barr'gunn.

I believe the OP is asking about the new Browning A5 and not the venerable Automatic 5 Aka "A-5".

The new A5 kicks harder than any gas shotgun will. The recoil pad is good though. It's well enough made and the speed loading feature is great.

Any issues with the new A5 cycling light target loads(1Oz 1180 or 1200fps) Rembolt?
The only 1oz loads I have tried where Federal top the gun and challenger cycled them no problem . I did however have issues with 3 dram 1 1/8 challenger handy cap loads they were swelling and sticking in the chamber and would not eject . 2 3/4 dram 1 1/8 oz have no issues .

No experience with the new A-5 but had a Maxus. Nicest gas auto I ever shot in terms of felt recoil and lack of muzzle jump. However drop some 3.5" waterfowl loads in it and it was not easily tamed with its light weight. A major factor with felt recoil is of course gun fit. If it doesn't fit right it can hurt.

Buy whichever one fits you best. Fit will play a large part in felt recoil. They are both top notch Brownings so cycling various loads shouldn't be an issue (mine don't have any problems).
I do question when people are overly concerned about shotgun recoil...if you're afraid of recoil buy a .22....if you want a shotgun man up.

Don't really matter to me about felt recoil just wondering how they really kick..
& I cannot be going to any gun store where I live because I live in a isolated town.

I looked into a gasless "inertia" semi before, it looks to me that the new A-5's and the stoger m3500 are using pretty much the same system, I looked and played with both, then made a smart choice and bought a used 1972 light auto 5, which I'm going to have tell I die. The old a-5s are a super cool gun to own and insanely reliable, the recoil based cycle with the moving barrel is super smooth.
