Hello
There’s a browning ABolt 7 mm RM for sale locally that’s been cracked in half.
Asking price is $390.
Is it worth it ?
I think all it needs is a new stock

I inherited a wood stocked A Bolt in 7mm Rem Mag from my dad. He bought it when i got him to start moose hunting with me. It was always quite accurate - if you can stock that one at a reasonable price, I'd say it's worth it.

Cracked stock? there might be many more issues, like a bent barrel from a 4 wheeler overturning etc...

If it's only the stock, great.
You might find a stock for $200, but if a replacement stock goes for $500, then it is not worth it.

Assuming it's only a broken stock, I'd say it's worth it. It won't be too difficult to get another stock for it. I think McMillian makes a stock for the Browning A-bolt. It'll cost a bit but it will be a better stock then a plastic OEM stock. And the 7MMRM is a fantastic round. Browning's usually have a 26 inch barrel so you can expect good velocity out of it.
