I ended up getting an extra Boyds laminate thumbhole stock for my Browning A-Bolts when I was looking for one. Too good of a deal to pass up. Bought them as a short action and they work perfect with the 300 WSM gold medallion that I wanted a thumbhole stock for. I could stick my other Stainless stalker 300 WSM in the extra stock but I don't really want to open up the stock at the mag well to fit the short mag. I just bought an A-bolt in 22-250 thinking it would be the same length action as the WSM. 22-250 action is too long for the stock. So I thought no big deal I will put it on the BSS 204 Ruger I have. The 204s action is too short. Anybody know if Browning has another action besides the WSM that will fit this stock or have one they can measure the distance between screw holes for me. Hate to buy another rifle but if a guy has too. (distance between holes is aprox 7 1/8" center to center)
