Browning auto 5 barrel

Do you know if a 3 inch magnum barrel will fit and properly work on a 2 3/4 inch A5 Browning? Is the barrel ring in the same position? Thanks in advance,

They are not interchangeable and you can not turn a 2-3/4” Auto 5 into a 3” Auto 5.

My plan was not to turn my 2 3/4 inch gun into a 3 inch gun. It was just to use a 3 inch barrel in a 2 3/4 inch gun because the barrel had a ventilated rib and a different choke. Thanks for your input.
