So I just bought a used Auto 5 older Belguim (sp?) 12 Ga Magnum model.
I took it out and it shot nice but wouldn't eject or pick up the next round.
I used 3" with the 2 friction rings then tried 2 3/4" with the single brass friction ring and still the same thing.
One thing odd that I noticed is that I'd have to pull on the bolt 2 or 3 times before it would slide back and lock. Also, the spent casing slid back with the bolt but didn't kick out the port.
It seems to me to be an extraction/ejection problem but may also have something worn on the action that's keeping the bolt from sliding back smoothly.
Just looking for some advice from anyone experienced with this gun.
Tks!
Tim

If you have the friction pieces set correctly then lubricating the tube they slide on should fix the problem. A light grease is best.

Thanks guys, after a careful look I noticed that the main action spring was doubled up (purchased used so looks like they were trying to include extra parts!). Also found an extra steel friction follower on my first disassembly.
Seems to work perfect now.
