I am looking for a full set of friction rings and a recoil spring for a Browning Auto 5 Mag 12. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Dave

Midwest gunworks also has kits. US based, but will apparently allow shipping to canada. The rebuild kits are $65 each. They have an entire inventory of Auto 5 parts, only they have no/few barrels in stock.

Just called MGW no go on the shipping. Can anyone tell me the proper length for an A-5 Mag 12 recoil spring? Maybe mine is ok.

EDIT* Parts are on their way from Western gun parts :)

Wierd... MGW has state/province fields and ZIP/postal code fields in their shipping estimator. One would think they have those combinations for a reason. Maybe they'll only ship certain things... More research is required...

How much were your parts from WGP compared to MGW?

I didn't ask Western what the prices were.

I called MGW and they told me no Shipping on ANYTHING to Canada. He said they DO NOT have an export licence. He actually said he would ship to a friend in the States if I wanted. He then told me to call Western Gun Parts (which I had found out from previous posters in this thread). So that is what I did.

I just take the recoil spring and pull on the gall darn thing.
Most leave their A-5's assembled in the locker.
The spring is under compression, hence over time they loose their length.
So, stretch it back out.
How far?
Until it works right.
There should be about an inch between the fore wood and receiver before you cinch it
all up.
If you haven't got this, streeeeeeeech it out.
