My neighbor has a 12Ga Browning Auto 5 in 3" magnum with invector plus chokes and 30" barrel in Very Good condition is thinking about selling and would like to know its value. I know pictures would help alot but even a ball-park price would at least get him started.

Thanks

Value of A-5's are all over the map.
Start at $500 and work your way up.
It has desirable aspects to it so put a price
in your head and see what he comes up with.
Then split the change.

This is the way the old boy did it with his hunting
buddies.
Of course back in that era, folk played fair.

Because it has choke tubes, it's still a great waterfowl gun. If in excellent condition, he could easily get $700 from someone who wants one of these fantastic, classic guns.

I would imagine that one in very good condition, with the invector barrel, is probably post 1974 and made in Japan opposed to Belgium. Regardless, they are very fine shotguns and there are a number of people who will pay in the $1000 range. My experience...
